Eihwaz translates to the "yew" card in my Enchanted Runes Oracle Deck and I chose to paint the tree of life for it. The original is a 16x20 acylic artwork on canvas. In the oracle, there is a difference in pulling this card upright or reversed. Here is a further breakdown of this special card:

Upright

Eihwaz is related to the yew tree, Yggdrasil, and/or the tree of life and death. This is the time of transformation and personal growth. Gain spiritual knowledge as you go along the bridge of the world tree. Eihwaz is bringing profound changes and a true turning point. Maybe you are on a quest for deeper understanding? Yggdrasil is symbolic to a threshold or a bridge between worlds. Ancestral wisdom and communication with ancestors may come through during this time. Or possibly you are in a transitional phase, moving from one situation or state of being to another. Either way, your quest for deeper understanding will be met. Keep the eyes, ears and heart open to receiving information. Know that this rune could mean death, but also in a symbolic sense. Such as the path you were once on may no longer serve you and crumble away. It could mean the ending of a friendship or relationship. It might indicate old ways that are holding you down are simply let go of. It could be in the form of a job that stops you from dreaming bigger that is left behind. Or this could mean a version of yourself you no longer want to hold onto, now is the time to let go. No matter what it is that’s going to die, there will be a change coming with new beginnings and new life. It is the balance of the opposites represented by the Yggdrasil. The tree of life and death, light and dark, and the physical and the spiritual. It encourages you to find equilibrium in your life through change.
