I was going through an art block and decided to do a meditation to try to push through it. During the meditation I got an overwhelming feeling of the energy inside my body and decided this is what I wanted to paint. This painting is about a spirit realizing the power of the energy realm and the ability to look past the materialized one. The heart area is splitting open with the glowing energy of the heart and a purple orb is where the third eye is located. Meaning the spirit and mind is opening up together. Vibrations are forming in and around the entity and has its own pattern like a fingerprint. The golden frame resembles a portal that is being held open from a great horned owl. The owl is a sign of gained wisdom, knowledge and mystery. Inside of the portal is the physical, materialized realm with the Bodhi Tree where Buddha sat when he attained enlightment. A forest that symbolizes a spiritual sense of growth leads further back into the portal. A small river cuts through and pours out of the frame, meaning the constant flow of life and the idea that one should never become stagnant.
