Thurisaz translates to the "thorn" card in my Enchanted Runes Oracle Deck. The original is a 16x20 acylic artwork on canvas. In the oracle, there is a difference in pulling this card upright or reversed. Here is a further breakdown of this special card:
Upright
Thurisaz can signify a transformative experience. In the way that a thorn can cause pain initially with the outcome being the growth of a rose, this rune may indicate that you are going through a challenging period that will result in personal growth and development. Luck may be coming to you disguised in the form of a challenge. Thurisaz is strongly associated with the thunder god, Thor, who wields a mighty hammer known as Mjölnir. Mjölnir was used to defeat chaotic giants. As such, the rune can be seen as a symbol of divine strength and protection from paths or people that do not have your best interest. Know that there will come a time for the door to open to reveal some beautiful things! Though the path is layered in thorns currently, let the thorns protect the rose for now, as Thurisaz is calling to protect you for now.
Reversed
Reversed Thurisaz emphasizes chaos, destruction and defense. Know your physical and mental limits. There are some limitations in your life, certain boundaries, not yet meant to be broken. Any hasty decisions made right now, may later have negative consequences you will regret.

PLEASE NOTE: Some paintings are differently shaped than standard sized printing services I use. I will either crop the image to the best of my ability or adjust the size by a few inches to make sure nothing important is cropped. For example: Some of my works are 16"x24" and the classic size to print is 16"x20". If it doesn't crop out the highlights of the painting, I may choose to crop the 4 inches. Or if there is an important part of the painting being cut off, I may choose to search for an external printing service that can provide a special size and print the image on the 16"x24". Please be aware of these small changes!
