Ehwaz translates to the "horse" card in my Enchanted Runes Oracle Deck and I chose to paint the horses of Sol and Mani in the viking folklore. The original is a 16x20 acylic artwork on canvas. In the oracle, there is a difference in pulling this card upright or reversed. Here is a further breakdown of this special card:
Upright
The partnership between a rider and their horse is a sign of mutual respect and collaboration. Just like the pair of horses that carried Sol’s chariot of the sun across the sky and the other pair of horses carry Mani’s chariot of the moon across the sky. All of them involved, had the same goal and the same plan of forward movement. You are in the right relationship with yourself and with others. This is the time to work together with people. Forming alliances will be beneficial in your present situation. You are making significant strides toward your goals and are moving in a progressive motion. Trust in the reliability and support of your partners or allies. They hold your best interests currently. This could be a good time to enter a relationship or to meet new friends. Now is also the moment to seek a new job or be aware of new opportunities with confidence. It is the ideal time for new decisions. Ehwaz can also be taken literally. The horse was a form of travel. Reversed
This is a rune of collaboration between the horse and the rider, so Ehwaz is all about being an effective team. Maybe you are being overly cautious in your relationships with certain people. Your partnership needs more trust on your end to be able to work. It is understandable to take time to think through facts before making a heavy decision. But by being overly cautious, it may mean you will inadvertently turn away each opportunity that is presented to you. PLEASE NOTE: Some paintings are differently shaped than standard sized printing services I use. I will either crop the image to the best of my ability or adjust the size by a few inches to make sure nothing important is cropped. For example: Some of my works are 16"x24" and the classic size to print is 16"x20". If it doesn't crop out the highlights of the painting, I may choose to crop the 4 inches. Or if there is an important part of the painting being cut off, I may choose to search for an external printing service that can provide a special size and print the image on the 16"x24". Please be aware of these small changes!
